🚀 Performance

When unrestricted and used in suitable conditions, the 1000W system is capable of speeds of up to approximately 35mph, depending on wheel size, battery voltage, rider weight, terrain and overall setup.

With the optional 48V 13Ah battery, estimated range is approximately 30 miles per charge, depending on riding conditions and how the bike is used.

🖥️ 250W Restricted Mode

The SW900 system includes a selectable restricted mode.

Press and hold the minus (–) button for approximately 3 seconds to activate restricted mode.

When restricted mode is active:

• Motor output is restricted

• Throttle is disabled

• Pedal assistance is limited to approximately 15.5mph / 25km/h

• Restricted mode remains active after the system has been switched off and back on

⚖️ Important UK Legal Information

The 1000W unrestricted configuration is not road legal in the UK as a standard EAPC and is intended for use on private land with the landowner's permission.

UK EAPC requirements include specific limits and technical requirements. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that their bike and its configuration comply with all applicable laws before being used on a public road or other public place.

Activating a restricted setting does not automatically guarantee that a converted bike complies with every legal requirement.

MCR Electric recommends checking current UK legislation before using any converted e-bike on public roads.

The electrical components are designed as a plug-and-play system, using compatible connectors to make installation as straightforward and tidy as possible.

However, converting a bicycle still requires suitable mechanical and DIY experience.

Every bike and frame is different. Before purchasing, please check:

• Frame condition

• General suitability for an electric conversion

Warranty covers qualifying manufacturing faults during the applicable warranty period.

Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, modification, crashes, impact, neglect, excessive water exposure or other damage that is not the result of a manufacturing fault.

One important change I made deliberately: I wouldn't state that pressing the restriction button makes the bike “road legal.” A 250W/15.5mph setting alone doesn't necessarily make a 1000W conversion compliant with all UK EAPC requirements. The selectable Road Mode limits pedal assistance to 15.5mph (25km/h) and disables the throttle. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure the bike is used in accordance with all applicable local laws and regulations.
